First Unitarian Church
Capital Campaign
Problem
With a building that is approaching 100 years young, First Unitarian Church of Salt Lake City needed a capital campaign to support ongoing building maintenance and improvement needs to support the next hundred years. The specific goal was to reach half a million dollars raised over three years.
Solution & Impact
We created an integrated campaign that ties concepts of flame (the chalice is a huge symbol within the church), empowerment, history, and personal stories that highlight the past impact of First Unitarian Church as well as a vision for the future. Additionally, we pulled in a number of different congregants to tell their stories of how they are connected to the building and larger community.
First Unitarian Church of Salt Lake City met and exceeded it’s goal for the campaign and is positioned to both take immediate care of the building as well as plan for, and more importantly fund, future capital improvements.
Conceptual design, integrated messaging, and inspirational personal stories came together to drive results and more importantly protect an institution.
